ARTIST BIO

Artist Bio:
Brian Luparell was born and raised in , Illinois. In 1997 he started a studio in his garage. As a self taught artist with some help from his cousin John Mccann. He learned how to weld metals and was soon creating metal art. He has gone from whimsical sculptures to his current fine art pieces. In 2003 he moved to the Chicago IL. area and has since worked mainly in fine art sculpture. His pieces are unfinished metals taken and used in a design of elegance and beauty. His works can be seen all over the United States.

His paintings evolved from his sculpture and intuition of his visions of pure bliss.
Luparells paintings come from sitting and meditating; sometimes on top of large buildings or even as quaint as sitting on a freshly cut lawn in a park some were.
This type of meditation allows him to connect with his inner self.As he often acts out his paintings in his physical realm he captures colors of space and time that allows him to tap into
a state of blissfullness. Most of his work consist of organic blending with nature. You can often see oceans of water along with tree trunks with autumn leaves.
His paintings takes weeks to create even somtimes months.

Paintings:
My paintings are sculpted of plaster/acrylic & oil paints,
with a protective hard resin gloss poured over the top of them.
This glass like coating enhances the metallic paints, and deep shadows
of the paintings. It also is a protective uv coating and gives strength to the paint and plaster.
This glass like finish creates durability for the paintings.
When any light hits the paintings the color shimmers and shifts.
They are all truly beautiful, pictures do not do the paintings justice.
Seeing them in person is like looking into total Bliss.
